Frē ǝrth Logistics is seeking committed & reliable independent drivers with a great attitude and excellent work ethic to deliver consumer packages to customers in the Phoenix area in your own cargo van.

Requirements

Daily Duties

  • Own or have consistent use of a reliable cargo van.

  • Commit to a regular work schedule, maintain a customer focused attitude, be reliable, professional, and flexible.

  • Possess a business owner mentality. This business is your business.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of Arizona with an excellent motor vehicle driving record and auto insurance.

  • Pass a criminal background check.

  • Minimum 2 years of delivery driver experience.

  • Ability to safely lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and up to 150 lbs. with hand truck.

  • Ability to climb up and down stairs multiple times per day.

  • Own a reliable smartphone that can be utilized for business purposes.

Available Schedules

  • Saturday through Wednesday

  • Typical shift: 9:30am to 5:30pm. Note that shift end times vary daily based on number of stops and driver delivery speed.

  • Current route areas are available in central Phoenix.

Important to Note

  • As an independent contractor, federal, state, and FICA taxes are not withheld from weekly pay and will be the driver’s responsibility.

  • Expenses including fuel, vehicle maintenance, and smart phone service are the driver’s responsibility.

  • Deliver packages to between 70 and 110 stops per day, including homes, apartments, and businesses.

  • Receive, organize, and load packages of varying size and weight as assigned each workday. Loading and organizing time is approximately one to one and a half hours based on daily volume.

  • Safely operate and navigate a cargo van in various road and weather conditions. Follow all traffic laws including speed limits and posted signage while adhering to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road.

  • Navigate routes throughout the assigned delivery area, which may vary in size and geographical area on a daily or weekly basis, and successfully deliver packages to a variety of houses, mobile home parks, apartments, and businesses.

  • Use smartphone for scanning packages, receiving delivery information, GPS navigation, managing delivery progress, conducting administrative requirements, completing daily close out, and communicating with Frē ǝrth Logistics managers and other team members as needed. The simultaneous use of various scanning, navigational, and communication apps is required.

  • Get in and out of a cargo van repeatedly throughout the day while making up to 110+ stops per day.

  • Safely carry and deliver packages of varying size and weight with or without the use of delivery tools such as a hand truck. Repeatedly lift, bend, push, pull, kneel, crouch, stretch, reach above the head, and/or climb up and down flights of stairs, during shifts of up to 10 hours long with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Provide excellent customer service and deliver packages in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain a friendly and enthusiastic attitude at all times and assist customers with any issues that may need to be addressed, such as damaged packages.

  • Effectively communicate with the support team in a timely manner when there are delivery or customer issues.
